The Private Airfield

Fly straight from Auckland, Ardmore, North Shore or any other NZ airport directly to the private airfield adjacent to Waiheke Lodge, either in your own aircraft or by charter – see Waiheke Wings. The private grass airstrip is in use by permission only, very quiet and does not operate after sunset.

Waiheke Shuttles

Waiheke Shuttles are regulars to the Lodge, they have three modern air-conditioned 23 seat coaches, a modern air-conditioned 13 seat van and an 11 seat van with large luggage area. Our guest have paid compliments about this company for having professional courteous and knowledgeable drivers. Waiheke Shuttles can take you anywhere on the island from and to the Waiheke Lodge.

Explorer Bus

The Waiheke Explorer Bus  stops at the Batch Winery, a comfortable 5 minute walk from the Lodge downhill and then level unsealed road. Ferries to meet this tour departs Auckland every 30 minutes from 9.00am to 4.30pm daily.  So you can combine a tour of the Island with a drop-off at the Batch Winery near the Lodge – we are happy to pick up your cases from the Batch Winery and bring them to the Lodge.

You can hire a bus in town and bring it on the car ferry or arrive by passenger ferry and hire a small bus and drive yourself. Waiheke Car Rentals have some options on the island for you to choose from with very reasonable rates.
